River Valley Clean Up Event

It is hard to believe that over a year has passed since the last River Valley Clean Up was held, in the midst of the Covid virus, and here we are, still dealing with the virus. There is hope on the way as a steady stream of vaccinations are coming and, fingers crossed, making everyone’s lives safer and happier.

With such in mind, will will not have the traditional pancake breakfast and proceed with participants maintaining social distancing, wearing masks when picking up their supplies and getting their assigned areas to clean up.

This continues to be a very fun and educational family activity and gives Cloverdale constituents, both old and young, an opportunity to contribute to their community and make Cloverdale a better place to live.

How we will proceed on Sunday, May 16, 2021

Between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. a sign up table and supplies will be set up on the West side deck of Cloverdale Hall.

Bags, gloves and pickers will be distributed on a first come first served basis and social distancing will be maintained. (if you have your own garden gloves please use them)

An area of Cloverdale will be assigned to you and located on a map of Cloverdale.

When you are finished collecting garbage, please place the garbage bags at your own home. (We are not sure yet if curbside pick-up by the city is available).

Please return the pickers and gloves if they are still in good working order.

Bob will be packing things up at 1:00 p.m. If you have not completed your area, do not return any items. You may keep them for another time and use.

Please let me (socialdirector@cloverdalecommunity.com) know how many in your family are planning to participate by Wednesday, May 12, so some kits can be prepared in advance. Looking forward to seeing you.

Best regards,

CCL Social Director
