A Community Garden Club For All Ages

Our mission is to provide:

  • Gardening opportunities for members
  • Manage an effective and equitably divided, well cared for land parcel
  • Education for club and community members
  • Select garden produce for those less fortune in Edmonton
  • Community connections for residents of Cloverdale
Cloverdale Community Garden Club

The community garden is located on the south side of the Muttart Conservatory. It consists of eight raised beds and has room for expansion if necessary.

The club originally broke ground on May 2, 2015 at the Bennett Centre. After ten productive garden seasons, the Edmonton Public School Board reclaimed the space to expand their programming, forcing us to seek space elsewhere. With the coordinated efforts of the City of Edmonton Parks department and Muttart Conservatory we were able to receive a permit to utilize the Muttart beds.

The club is treating the 2026 gardening season as a pilot project to see if the site is viable for gardening and it is able to meet our needs. As such, rather than assigning individual plots we have decided to garden communally. In the fall we will make a decision about how we will proceed next year. Garden Members must have an up-to-date Cloverdale Community League membership before they can join.
