Come Grow with Us!

The Cloverdale Community Garden is gearing up for another growing season. The garden is located just north of the Bennett Centre and has 24 garden plots measuring 4’x8’. There are also two raised gardens for people needing more accessibility.

Plots are distributed randomly at the annual garden cleanup, tentatively set for Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 10–noon.
Please mark your calendars!

Garden club members pay an annual fee of $30/plot and are expected to participate in at least one area of common area garden chores- compost, flowers, weeding, mowing, or watering. There’s also a large portion of the garden devoted to Food Bank contributions (potatoes, squash) which all members help plant and harvest.

The community garden provides healthy outdoor exercise, a friendly group of people and lots of ideas on how to grow a garden in Alberta. Please join us. Welcome back emails will be sent out to former gardeners shortly—please return by April 15. New gardeners can contact Margaret at communitygarden_chair@cloverdalecommunity.com for an application form.

Please share this post with your Cloverdale neighbours and friends. The garden will be a wonderful COVID-19 haven for all the green and not-so-green thumbs.
