Garden Club

Welcome to the Cloverdale Community Garden Club

A COMMUNITY GARDEN CLUB FOR ALL AGES

Our mission is to provide:

  • Gardening opportunities for members
  • Manage an effective and equitably divided, well cared for land parcel
  • Education for club and community members
  • Select garden produce for those less fortune in Edmonton

Plots and Fees

We broke ground on May 2, 2015 and have since provided the Food Bank with 188 kg of potatoes. 25% of our garden space is used to grow food for the Edmonton Food Bank.

The garden has 24, 4’ x 8’ individual growing plots and 2 raised beds. There are a number of communal growing areas where produce planted is shared by all members. Common growing areas produce: Rubarb, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, zucchini, beans, peas, herbs and salad greens.

Garden Club fees are $30 for a single plot.

Garden Members must have an up-to-date Cloverdale Community League membership before they can join.

2021 Update

Plots are distributed randomly at the annual garden cleanup, tentatively set for Saturday May 15, 2021 from 10–noon. Welcome back emails will be sent out to former gardeners shortly—please return by April 15. New gardeners can contact Margaret at communitygarden_chair@cloverdalecommunity.com for an application form.
