We broke ground on May 2, 2015 and have since provided the Food Bank with 188 kg of potatoes. 25% of our garden space is used to grow food for the Edmonton Food Bank.
The garden has 24, 4’ x 8’ individual growing plots and 2 raised beds. There are a number of communal growing areas where produce planted is shared by all members. Common growing areas produce: Rubarb, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, zucchini, beans, peas, herbs and salad greens.
Garden Club fees are $30 for a single plot.
Garden Members must have an up-to-date Cloverdale Community League membership before they can join.
Plots are distributed randomly at the annual garden cleanup, tentatively set for Saturday May 15, 2021 from 10–noon. Welcome back emails will be sent out to former gardeners shortly—please return by April 15. New gardeners can contact Margaret at email@example.com for an application form.
