Class Description: This is a low-impact, high-energy dance class suitable for all ages. This class
not only fosters physical fitness but also encourages social interaction and the creation of new
connections within our community. It’s a fantastic opportunity for active older adults to engage in
a modified dance routine, combining enjoyment with health benefits. As a Cuban-Canadian
instructor, I’ve added many of my signature moves into these classes and I’ve tailored these
sessions to be either seated or standing.
Requirements:
Indoor shoes for dancing
Comfortable clothing
A water bottle
Instructor Bio:Dagmar is an experienced, well-known certified yoga teacher, who earned her first 200-hour certification from Moksha Yoga Amazonica in Peru in 2020. Since then, she’s been racking up
certifications and experience. Her classes are safe and inclusive for all bodies and abilities, with
a special focus on Trauma-informed yoga and Yoga for the Active Older Population. In addition
to yoga, sound healing, and meditation, Dagmar brings joy and happiness to the community with
a mix of Latin fitness and dance. You can find her at places such as SEESA, CLSA, Heritage Seniors Stop Center or simply click on her website at www.dagmardharma.yoga
Off the mat, fun facts about:
As a good Cuban, I’m a passionate individual and put my heart and soul into every service I
deliver to the community. I love dancing, I’d like to think I’m a good golfer, and I enjoy spending
time with my partner and my dog, Spartacus (a Yorkie). Cooking, however, is not my favorite
hobby! I am forever grateful to all the teachers who shaped my amazing journey. My motto is:
“Never regret growing older; it’s a privilege denied to many.
