Class Description: Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice, accessible for anyone, regardless
of fitness or flexibility. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues –
ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is in
contrast to a Yang yoga practice, such as Hatha or Vinyasa styles of yoga, which target the
muscles.
Requirements: Students are encouraged to bring any yoga props that you already own (blocks,
straps, cushions), though none are required for the class – just your body and a yoga mat!
Instructor Bio: Having trained in Montreal in 2014, followed by studying Yin under Joe Barnett
in 2015 and ModoFlow in 2017, Natalie brings a balanced, well-rounded approach to the practice
of yoga. Yoga has been a regular part of her life for close to twenty years. One observation she
can share is that although the way we show up to yoga shifts over time, what is always true is
that it’s available to you in whatever place, way or depth you’re at – yoga tends to meet you
where you are.
